In 2010, CCR Brand was founded in Los Angeles by a group of visionaries that were simply bored with the current trends in the Fashion Industry. Aiming to bring fashion into the 21 itself in the creativity of the Music World and began collaborating with some of the biggest stars, stylists and designers in the business.
Within a few short months, the company styled Willow Smith’s: “Whip My Hair” music video, and Brittney Spear’s: “Till the World Ends” which won MTV’s Award for “Best Pop Video”. The press picked up on CCR’s fresh new look and coverage by US Weekly, People, Teen Vogue, Perez Hilton and Just Jared, among others, put CCR and its signature jumpsuits on the map. Tastemakers like Katy Perry’s Stylist, Johnny Wujeck, took notice of what CCR was doing and asked the design team to make a custom Jumpsuit for Katy. It was such a hit, that she ordered them for her entire band, dancers, signers, and crew on her “California Dreams” World Tour. It wasn’t long before her friend Rihanna saw the suits, and she took ordered them for her “LOUD!” World tour. CCR Jumpsuits are now the preferred tour gear for everyone from Taylor Swift to SLASH, Tommy Lee, and Steven Tyler.
Observing the collaborations and massive press that CCR was garnering, Europe’s Largest Electronic Dance Music Organizers: ID&T (Sensation, Tomorrow Land, Mystery Land) granted CCR an exclusive contract to produce co-branded merchandise for their Sensation Events. Subsequently, CCR Brand has created co-branded merchandise for Insomniac, launching at Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) – Las Vegas (2012), and most recently with ULTRA Music Festival – Miami (2013). CCR has also been associated with several of the top DJs in the world, including David Guetta, Steve Angello, Afrojack, Cedric Gervais, R3HAB, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Tomas Gold. CCR is now in a position to influence and define the style that will come to be associated with EDM.
CCR also has recently begun to develop a strong following of professional athletes, who have often been photographed wearing our product. In fact, CCR jumpsuits were featured on the “Sunday NFL Countdown” Pre-Game Show before the 2013 AFC Championship Game in a segment about New England’s star running back Stevan Ridley and his fellow patriots backs all wearing the jumpsuits this season as a symbol of their unity. Athletes, Rock Stars, DJs, and people who aren’t famous at all share a universal desire to be stylish and comfortable, so with this understanding, CCR Brand is aiming to create clothing that excites people and makes everybody feel like a celebrity.
Recognizing the huge potential of the brand, former Saks Department Store Group CEO George Jones acquired controlling interest of CCR in December 2012. Under Jones leadership, the company is currently working to expand CCR’s product offering, which has been primarily focused on jumpsuits, to full casual sportswear lines for both men and women, targeting forward thinkers that are ready for something fresh in Apparel.
